Purpose and Scope
Hyundai AutoEver America, LLC is the United States automotive IT services provider to enterprise customers of the Hyundai Motor Group.
Hyundai AutoEver America, LLC; its parent company; and affiliates (“HAEA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) are committed to privacy and transparency. This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes the personal information we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process and the rights you have regarding your personal information when you visit our websites, apply for an open position, or communicate with us directly (collectively, the “Services”).
If you are offered and accept a position with us, this information will become part of your personnel file and its use will be governed according to our internal policies and procedures, and the terms of this Notice will no longer apply.
Please read this Notice carefully. By accessing and using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Notice. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.
If you are in a jurisdiction that grants privacy rights to you, please see the section titled “Your Privacy Rights and Choices” below for additional rights that may apply to you.
What is not covered by this Privacy Notice?
This Privacy Notice does not apply to any personal information we access or receive when acting as a data processor on behalf of our enterprise customers. In addition, this Notice does not apply to the personal information of (i) employees, independent contractors, and other workers, (ii) other Hyundai or Kia businesses, or (iii) owners and personnel of automotive dealers.
Our Visitor Privacy Notice applies to visitors of our corporate office.
I. Personal Information We Collect
We may collect or receive the categories of personal information listed below:
- Basic Personal Identifiers: Contact information, including name, email address, postal address, telephone number, national identification numbers, driver’s license numbers, and signatures.
- Device Information, Online Identifiers, Internet and Network Activity, such as IP address and cookie IDs.
- Demographic Information including Professional and Employment Information, such as age, gender, citizenship, ethnicity, date of birth, family or marital status, education, professional and employment information.
- Financial information, such as bank account and routing numbers.
- Communications and requests, including records of your contact with us
- Background information such as background checks and criminal convictions.
- Inferences, such as individual preferences and characteristics.
- Sensitive Personal Information: Government-issued identifiers (such as social security, driver’s license, state identification card, or passport number), account credentials, racial or ethnic origin, citizenship or immigration status, financial account, and payment card information.
II. How We Collect Personal Information
Provided Directly by You
We collect personal information that you provide to us when you visit our websites, subscribe to newsletters or communications, apply to job opportunities, communicate with us directly, or complete contact forms on our site.
We may also collect audio/visual recordings on HAEA property as set forth in the Visitor Privacy Notice.
Collected Automatically
We collect personal information from you automatically when you use our website including cookie information as further described in the section “Cookies and Other Similar Tracking Technologies.” If you interact with us online, we may derive your location from your IP address, device and browser information, and unique identifiers and activity and usage data.
We collect information from you when you use company equipment, systems, and applications. If you call, video conference, or otherwise contact us, we may also maintain records for quality, training, and support purposes to the extent allowed by applicable law.
Additionally, we may collect information from technology we use in our corporate facility, such as facility cameras as set forth in the Visitor Privacy Notice for security and operational purposes.
Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from other companies within our corporate family. If you post information about us or engage with us or our content on social media and third-party platforms, we may obtain personal information about you from that third-party platform. We receive information about you from third party sources to assist us with employment-related activities and other legal matters. For example, we may collect information from employment background agencies for the purpose of conducting a background check such as criminal, employment, and educational history as well as information about your character, general reputation, credit standing, etc. Before requesting a background check, HAEA will obtain your informed and specific consent in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
III. How We Use Your Personal Information
- Communication with you, such as sending you newsletters and responding to your messages and inquiries;
- Delivering our Services, including responding to your requests and providing customer support and technical assistance;
- Fulfilling requests and obligations related to recruiting and employment purposes;
- Processing job applications that you submit for open job opportunities on our career website, evaluate you for current and future employment opportunities, communicate with you and inform you of employment opportunities;
- Conducting background checks;
- Improving our recruitment and hiring process, including performing analysis of our applicant pool;
- Internal record keeping and equal opportunities monitoring
- Conducting business analysis and identifying areas for operational improvement;
- Updating operational and technical functionality;
- Website and service improvements, including analyzing how visitors use our websites and improving the user experience and website performance;
- Security and legal compliance, including preventing fraud or unauthorized access, protecting against security threats and vulnerabilities; complying with legal obligations and court orders; and, establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims;
- Any other purposes disclosed at the time of collection.
Deidentified and Aggregated Information. We may collect, use, and share deidentified information and will not attempt to reidentify deidentified information unless permitted by applicable law.
IV. How We Disclose Your Personal Information
HAEA may share personal information collected about you with others, including our parent headquartered in South Korea, affiliates, and vendors contracted to provide services on our behalf. HAEA does not sell personal information to any third party.
If you sign up for certain services on the HAEA website, we will share names, or other contact information, as we deem appropriate, to any parent, affiliate, or vendors to provide these services.
HAEA may disclose personal information to third parties performing audit, legal, operational, or other similar services for HAEA.
Whenever possible and as required by law, we will require any recipient of personal information for these purposes to agree in writing to hold the information in confidence, to use the information only for the limited permitted purpose, and to return or destroy the information when the services are completed.
HAEA may also disclose any personal information when required to do so by subpoena, court order, warrant, or other lawful requests including responding to national security or law enforcement.
HAEA will also disclose personal information deemed necessary to protect safety, HAEA property, our rights, or the rights of individuals or the public.
If all or a part of our business is merged, sold or reorganized, personal information about you could be shared with the successor business subject to reasonable measures to help ensure that any successor treats your information in accordance with this Notice.
V. Cookies and Other Similar Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and other similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to collect information when you interact with our online Services. A “cookie” is a small text file hat is stored on a user’s device. Cookies may collect browsing and usage information. Some of these cookies may be provided by third parties.
Cookie data may be used by us or our vendors to operate, enable, and improve our online Services, analyze usage and performance, track bugs and errors, track sessions, prevent fraud and protect and secure our online Services, and improve your experiences.
We may use third-party tools such as Google Analytics to understand and analyze how visitors interact with and experience our online Services.
You can opt out of Cookies that are not necessary to effectively operate and secure our website and online Services by using the Global Privacy Control (GPC) on your browser. To process your opt-out request through GPC, you must use a browser or extension supporting the preference signal, and you will need to turn it on for each browser and each device you use.

HAEA does not sell personal information to any third parties.
VII. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on the state in which you reside, you may be able to exercise certain privacy rights including:
- Access your personal information.
- Delete your personal information. A request to delete is subject to certain exceptions, defined by law.
- Correct your personal information
- Appeal a privacy request.
You may use the Global Privacy Control (GPC) to opt out of the processing of certain personal information. Note that if you come back to our website from a different device or use a different browser on the same device, you will need to opt out for that browser and device as well.
If you live in Minnesota or Oregon, you also have the right to request a list of third parties to which we disclosed personal information.
HAEA will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising your rights.
Right to Know/Access
To the extent required by law, we will provide you with the following categories of information:
- The categories of personal information we have collected about you.
- The categories of sources from which we collect your personal information.
- The business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing your personal information.
- The categories of third parties to whom we disclose personal information.

- A list of categories of personal information that we have disclosed for a business purpose, along with the categories of vendors for business operations we disclosed it to.
Right to Delete
You may request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law.
Right to Correct/Rectify
You may request correction of inaccurate personal information. We will make reasonable efforts to update your information. We reserve the right to request identifying documentation from you in certain circumstances, as permitted by law.

Verification
We will verify your identity before processing your access, correction, or deletion request. Verification may include requiring you to provide information matching our records. If more information is necessary to verify your identity, we will contact you directly. Requests may be denied if we have reason to believe they are fraudulent.
Agent/Authorized Representative
In some states, you may authorize another person to submit requests on your behalf. We will require proof of authorization (valid power of attorney, signed authorization letter). We will still need to verify your identity.
Revoking Consent
If you previously consented to our collection or use of your personal information, you may revoke that consent at any time by contacting haealegal@haeaus.com. To opt-out of marketing communications, click “Unsubscribe.”
Revoking consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before revocation.
VIII. How Long Do We Keep Your Personal Information?
We will keep the personal information we collect for as long as necessary to carry out the purposes in this Notice or any other notice provided at the time of data collection in accordance with applicable law or HAEA policy.
IX. Security
HAEA takes reasonable information security measures including physical, administrative, and technical safeguards. However, the security of information transmitted through the Internet can never be guaranteed regardless of the level of security.
X. Users Outside the United States
Our Services are intended for use and access by United States residents only. HAEA does not knowingly collect, process, access, or intend to access the personal information of persons residing outside the United States, including in Europe and China.
XI. Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect or process personal information from any person under the age of sixteen (16). No parts of Services are directed to or designed to attract anyone under the age of sixteen (16).
XII. Third Party Websites
Our website may include links to other websites and web services. This Notice does not apply to non-HAEA websites. If you submit personal information to third party websites, your personal information will be governed by the privacy policies applicable to those websites and services.
XIII. Changes to Notice
HAEA reserves the right to change this Notice at any time. We will provide notice of significant updates. If we make material changes to this Notice, we will provide notice or obtain consent regarding such changes, as may be required by law. HAEA will use, share, and disclose personal information in accordance with the Notice in effect at the time the information is collected.
